DAY 2 — QUIET YOUR MIND

Take a breath. Slow your pace.

Scripture:
“Be still, and know that I am God.” - Psalm 46:10

Devotional:

In this text - Stillness isn’t just the absence of noise; it’s the presence of trust. When God says, “Be still,” He isn’t telling you to try harder to be quiet - He’s inviting you to release your grip.

Much of our inner struggle comes from carrying things God never asked us to carry. Fear of outcomes, fear of missing something, fear of not having a level of control.  All of this emotion fills our minds until we forget what peace feels like.

Pete Scazzero said,

“You cannot live at a frenetic pace without paying a price. Eventually your soul will demand your attention.”

Sometimes the loudest voice isn’t what's around you but what's unresolved inside of you.

And stillness becomes the place where your soul finally focuses and then hears this truth again:
God is God and you are not you. His ways are higher. His ways are deeper. He has a purpose for everything.

Reminding yourself of this does not make you passive; it’s choosing to let the world spin without letting your heart spin with it.

And stillness is a place where His voice becomes clearer, the place where God restores us.

Reflection Question:

So, what if today He’s not just calling you to just relax but to release your grip - don't send that text or email, don’t respond to quickly - instead - be still before Him and let your soul breath.

Carry This With You:
Release your grip from the things you can’t control and rest in the God who can.
